The project involves developing a system for managing and processing spatial information in the Kavala Prefecture

In the frames of the project the existing equipment of the Prefecture Services (maps, charts, digital data, etc.) was collected, digitized and homogenized so that it would be easily imported in the under development  database system.

The deliverable product is a comprehensive environmental monitoring system that focuses on two key areas of the region, water quality and dacus extorsion in olive cultivation. It also focuses in the citizen, giving  valuable environmental information.

The project included:

Supply and Installation of Equipment & Software 
Data Supply 
Data Development and setting up a centralized GIS system (ARC GIS)
Connection Telecom of four water quality monitoring stations to the central server of the Prefecture.
Create a portal specific presentation of measurements and remote transmission of application data to central server
Development of  Mobile (PDA) and fixed (PC) applications of dacus extorsion and  record drilling 
Ttraining of the Prefecture Personnel
